The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) Assistant Commandant (AC) Examination 2025. Vacancy Details
A total of 357 vacancies have been announced for the CAPF Assistant Commandant 2025 examination, distributed among various forces as follows:
- Border Security Force (BSF): 24 vacancies
- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 204 vacancies
- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 92 vacancies
- Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 4 vacancies
- Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 33 vacancies
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
Candidate must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between 20 and 25 years of age as of August 1, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
Educational Qualification
A bachelor's degree from a recognized university is required.
Physical Standards
Candidates must meet the physical standards specified in the official notification.

Registration
Visit the official UPSC website and complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process.
Application Form
After registration, fill out the online application form with personal, educational, and other required details.
Document Upload
Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and any other necessary documents as per the specifications.
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS Male Candidates: ₹200
- Female/SC/ST Candidates: Exempted from fee payment

Selection Process
Written Examination
Consists of two papers. Paper 1 is objective type, covering General Ability and Intelligence. Paper 2 is descriptive, focusing on General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Standards Test
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will undergo PET and medical tests to assess their physical and medical fitness.
Interview/Personality Test
Candidates who clear the PET and medical tests will be called for an interview/personality test.

Paper 1
- Subject: General Ability and Intelligence (Objective Type)
- Duration: 2 hours
- Marks: 250
Paper 2
- Subject: General Studies, Essay, and Comprehension (Descriptive Type)
- Duration: 3 hours
- Marks: 200
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Standards
Male Candidates:
- 100 meters race: 16 seconds
- 800 meters race: 3 minutes 45 seconds
- Long Jump: 3.5 meters (3 chances)
- Shot Put (7.26 kg): 4.5 meters
Female Candidates:
- 100 meters race: 18 seconds
- 800 meters race: 4 minutes 45 seconds
- Long Jump: 3.0 meters (3 chances)
